Michael Danhour - President and Founder
Michael has been involved in the real estate industry since the late 1990’s. Using his degrees in finance and economics, he began to work as a real estate consultant – providing market research, development recommendations and pro-formas to large builders such as Lennar, Centex, Mercedes and Richmond American Homes, as well as resort developers, commercial and industrial developers throughout the world. He soon put his knowledge to work for his own brokerage company, and began working with developers, finding parcels for them to develop and assisting them in development feasibility analysis, developing marketing and sales strategies, and ultimately building sales forces for developers. During one of these projects Mike began discussing the opportunities in wholesale land investment with several developers. Using his ability to research and analyze real estate deals – he formed the basis of what would become the Land Investment Association – the idea that investing can be made easier by providing research.
Sheldon Gill – Partner & Director of Sales
Sheldon has been actively involved in the real estate industry since the mid 1990’s. He started his career working with Success Magazine, promoting real estate and investment strategies across the United States. He toured hundreds of cities, meeting with investors, developers and other industry representatives. Then Sheldon took his knowledge and worked directly with investors, assisting them in buying and selling millions of dollars of investment properties throughout the Central Florida area (rehabs, rentals and preconstruction). After seeing the value of land investments over vertical investments – he wanted to learn more about land. He left Central Florida and joined forces with a prominent Florida land developer, assisting in selling and marketing land investments. There he was exposed to hundreds of land investment opportunities around the United States. During this tenure, Sheldon built a wealth of knowledge in sales and closing coordination. After discovering rapid wholesale land sales, he began working as a developer’s coordinator, building relationships between seller and buyer, and soon began working with The Land Investment Association.
Today the two provide their services to several thousand Land Investment Association members each year – allowing investors to work together using collective bargaining to get deals for the group that investors could not achieve individually.
